Popular Music Category

1. This category is open to any type of choir. 
    

2. No age limit is set for this category.
    

3. The competing choir must have a minimum number of twenty (20) singers, while the maximum number of singers is forty (40). 
    

4. The total performance time, excluding entrance and exit, must be a minimum of 10 minutes and must not exceed 12 minutes.
    

5. Each competing choir must perform at least three (3) freely chosen pieces classified under popular music: pop, musical, jazz, R&B, among others. 
    

6. All pieces must be sung a cappella or accompanied only by unpitched instruments.
    

7. The use of microphones and other sound amplification is not allowed.
